Sansevieria concinna 'Dwarf Spoon Leaf' Sansevieria aff. concinna 'Lav. 5933' Chahinian, Splendid Sansevieria 39, pl. on 38 (2005)
Lavranos & Lubbers 5933 (HBG 28355) 20 km. W of Vilanculos, Mozambique (see Grigsby, Cact. & Succ. Journ. Amer. 59 (2): 43, fig. 1 (right) (1987)) (as Lavranos 305 (Gl. & F. 594)) (research by Steve Jankalski)

SA24 = 'Superclone' (can get 4' to 6' tall, very thick bluish leaves & any extra $10.00 boxing fee will be charged) N/A

It is better to refer to it as "Superclone" for I have seen the so-called "Superclone" in flower and its long tubed flowers and elongate inflorescence is actually very similar to Sans. longiflora not Sans. kirkii. It is better to refer to it as "Superclone" now even though the name is awful. Blame Grigsby for the name. It is a plant originally collected from the wild. It is not a garden hybrid. (research by Steve Jankalski)

SA044= SHRS19499 (chalky blue color with red edge, not more than 14" tall) $28.00

SHRS 19499 is a renaming of USDA M 19499 (HBG 50499 = McConville #178) which was introduced as SJPI No. B025 under the name of Sansevieria 'Midnight Star' in Sansevieria Journal 3 (2): 44 (1994). (research by Steve Jankalski)

SA027=   trifasciata 'Lillian True' (blackish green leaves with yellow edges & stripes) $20.00

SA140=   'Ed Eby' (nice fans of thick leaves, these with be small plants) $18.00

ISI 2004-35. Sansevieria patens. According to Len Newton (Sansevieria 13:3, 2005) the origin and identity of N.E. Brown’s original S. patens remains an unsolved mystery.  Therefore, Steve Jankalski (Sansevieria 15: 8-9, 2006) has coined the cultivar name S. ‘Ed Eby’ for this plant in honor of the man who rescued the surviving plant from Koko Crater Botanic Garden, Hawaii. Jankalski suggests that the plant may be a hybrid of S. canaliculata and S. pearsonii, two species employed in the USDA breeding program in Florida for developing superior fiber-plants, many of which ended up in Koko Crater. Alternatively, the plant may be an open hybrid of these two species, which are also cultivated at Koko Crater. Further research will be required to determine the possible hybrid origin of S. ‘Ed Eby’ and its parentage.

SA063=   downsii (one of the smaller Sans, bark shiny green leaves, offset above ground) $20.00
